Meet Modern-day Adventurers

In 2018, twelve boys and their football coach were lost deep inside a flooded cave in Thailand.

The expertise of a team of extreme British cave divers led to their successful rescue.

How did these cave divers gain the experience, techniques and equipment needed to achieve this rescue, when navy seals could not?

Olly Hicks

Dave is an adventurer, writer and filmmaker. He is more than halfway through his Expedition1000 project, for which he is undertaking 25 separate journeys of 1000 miles or more, each using a different form of non-motorised transport, swimming, skateboarding, etc.  Dave also established the Yes Tribe for which he organises a variety of adventure-based events and workshops throughout the year.  Here’s one of his Tedx talks
