Get outdoors with Yay.Fish
New Blog for 2020
Yay.Fish is a new blog for 2020. I am creating a blog to help you be active outdoors in both wild and urban spaces. I love being outdoors and as you’re reading this you probably do too. Exploring caves, kayaking, camping, wild swimming are things that make my soul sing.
My other passion is photography. I have worked as freelance photographer for over twenty years photographing wild places and adventure sports. I will be sharing ideas on kit and photographic technique here and you can see some of my work at H2O Photography
Resources
To help you get the most out of your time outdoors I am developing a resources section to provide information for a range of topics. Everything from tides and weather to great phone apps for the adventurous and where to find watersports clubs and links to modern-day explorers. Resources pages. These pages will be continually added to.
Get In Touch
This blog is for you, so if you have any ideas, questions, comments or thoughts about how to get outdoors, then do get in touch – I would really love to hear from you 🙂

'The Columns'
‘The Columns’ are cave formations in Ogof Ffynnon Ddu cave in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales, UK. They are only about 150 years old and are technically ‘industrial waste’. A lime kiln once stood on the mountain above and lime leached through the rock with rainwater to form these incredibly delicate and beautiful formations. I will talk more about the Columns formations in a future post…
